Frederic HOLDENER
Founder
Sport has always been at the core of Frederic’s life. From skiing to motocross, snowboarding, and surfing, his early years were defined by movement, competition, and an unwavering passion for performance.
Frederic became deeply involved in the world of winter sports, working across both performance and business environments.
A defining chapter of this journey was his role coaching individual athletes at the 1998 Winter Olympics and as assistant coach for Canada’s snowboard halfpipe team at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Over the years this international access to leaders in elite performance and athlete preparation transitioned into ice hockey and led to the creation of his brainchild: Platform International.
Driven by a strong belief that talent reaches its full potential only when surrounded by the best people, Frederic founded the agency: to create a development platform built on dedication and commitment. He brings together experts, coaches, and personalities who share a common goal: helping athletes push their limits within their sport and beyond.
Under his guidance, Platform International has developed a truly international team, uniting some of the best on-ice coaches and performance specialists from around the world; providing athletes with an unmatched framework for growth.
Today, Frederic continues to push with the same passion that first drew him to sport, dedicating his energy to preparing athletes for the highest levels of competition while ensuring they are supported beyond the ice.
Margrethe

HOLDENER
Founder
Margrethe van der Stroom Holdener is the silent force of Platform International. An international corporate lawyer, negotiator, analyst and business developer who worked at the highest level of international sports for over 30 years; Margrethe puts her experience and knowledge at the disposal of every Platform player.
First involved in ice hockey by creating the Champions Hockey League with Frederic Holdener she also is a certified NHLPA agent and experienced manager of family office services and assists the athletes in contract, taxation, education and administrative matters.
Julian CALEFATO
Performance Coach & Sports Physiotherapist
Platform International and Julian have worked together since its inception, supporting the agency and its athletes as they have progressed from junior development to international competition across Europe and North America.
Grounded in sports physiotherapy and athletic training, and supported by an extensive academic foundation, Julian provides clinical insight, performance oversight, and continuity for athletes navigating the demands of elite hockey.
Over the years, he has become a trusted point of reference for Platform players, particularly during injury periods, high-pressure performance phases, and key career transitions. Working collaboratively with club-based coaches and medical teams.
Julian’s approach integrates clinical expertise, performance science, and mentorship. His focus remains supporting athletes to perform at the highest level while building sustainable careers and strong foundations beyond professional sport.
Ilia KHANENKO
Skills & Skating Coach
Ilia Khanenko is an internationally respected Skills and Skating Coach, working with elite players. Ilia has dedicated his career to advancing player development through structured innovation, and a strong focus on long-term growth. His experience spans multiple levels of the game, from youth development to professional environments including NHL, SHL and National League (Switzerland) athletes, where he has built a reputation for precision, analytical thinking, and personalized coaching.
Working closely with Platform International, Ilia plays a key role in supporting the agency’s athletes through individualized, high-level development. His structured and detail-oriented coaching approach helps players refine technical skills, optimize skating efficiency, and build habits that meet the demands of elite competition. By combining technical expertise with clear communication and personalized guidance, he supports an environment where athletes can progress. Within Platform International, Ilia contributes not only as a skills coach but as a trusted development partner, helping players maximize their potential while strengthening the agency’s commitment to long-term athlete success.
Ruben RAMPAZZO
Consultant Hockey & Player Development
After concluding a successful multi-national professional playing career, whilst representing Platform International in some of the best leagues in the world, Ruben Rampazzo committed himself fully to high-level coaching and sports management education in Finland at Haaga-Helia UASc, one of the leading environments globally for hockey development.
His experience working at the highest levels of player development, across multiple roles, has shaped a coaching philosophy built on precision, passion, trust, and long-term growth. With continuous improvement at the core of his work, Ruben remains dedicated to guiding ambitious athletes toward reaching their full potential, ensuring that their development, both on and off the ice, continues at the highest standard.
